Parked the car at Carne Beach, just below The Nare Hotel and set off eastwards up the road leading to Veryan Riding School. It is a good solid 10 minutes of hard uphill walking, never has been the phrase "always dress so that you are cold in the car park" been more appropriate as once you have reached the top of the hill you will definitely have warmed up. We continued on the road until just passed the riding school before taking the footpath to the right. This lead out to a magnificent view of Gull Rock.
There was a strongish easterly breeze so we found a sheltered spot to have our sandwiches (see top picture).
The coastal path back to Pendower Beach has a view steep down and ups but the views more than make up for the exertion.
